Christine is also a Schroth Best Practice Certified Practitioner, providing evidence-based, highly specialized care for patients navigating Scoliosis. Driven by a salutogenic philosophy by focusing on what creates wellness rather than just treating symptoms, Christine founded Inspired Chiropractic to be a sanctuary for family healing. Whether she is mentoring her team or adjusting baby in the clinic, her mission remains the same: to empower parents and ensure every child’s nervous system is free to thrive. When she isn’t in the clinic, Christine stays energized by heading outdoors for a hike or enjoying her favorite simple pleasures: a great plate of sushi or a perfect slice of pizza.

1.What is chiropractic?
The word ‘chiropractic’ comes from the Greek words cheir (meaning ‘hand’) and praktos (meaning ‘done’) ==> done by hand/ practice by hand. Chiropractic is a form of complementary medicine, non-invasive, hands on, licensed health care profession focused on your spine, brain and nervous system. It aims to restore the spine’s structural integrity, reduce pressure on the nervous system, and putting positive impact to the brain. It also promotes health and improve your quality of life, as well as alleviate pain. So, we can live our lives to the fullest potential.
2.History of chiropractic?
The history of chiropractic dates back to the late 19th century in the United States. The profession was founded by Daniel David Palmer, who performed the first chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard in 1895. Harvey Lillard had regained hearing after the spinal adjustment. Dr. Palmer proposed that manual manipulation of the spine could cure disease by restoring the body’s innate intelligence, so that the body has the ability to heal itself. Dr. Palmer then opened the first chiropractic school, the Palmer School of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa, in 1897. Today, chiropractic is recognized worldwide and has become a mainstream part of healthcare in many countries.

Success Stories
I am an avid golfer with a handicap of 15.9. Before the existence of my lower back pain, I used to play 4-6 times a month. The game was shortened as the lower back pain had badly affected my game. The lower back pain was developed due to the long sitting hours, both in office and during driving. The pain has caused numerous stress on my golf swing as I lost my flexibility during the rotation of up-swing and follow through. It also affected my putting when I bend over to align my eyes to ensure my ball path. The pain was unbearable.
My pregnancy symptoms such as lower back pain, frequent night urine and acid reflux issue were greatly reduced after just the first visit. Dr Yap is very patience and helpful. Thanks for helping in rescheduling my appointment due to the MCO condition. Thank you.
Dr Christine Yap is friendly, patient & highly competent. With just 1 visit, the neck pain that I had been experiencing for years went away for good. Highly recommended! Do make an appointment to see Dr Christine Yap to explore your options FIRST before going for surgery.
Been visiting for more than a year now. Doctors here are experienced and knowledgeable. The the advice they gave are so useful and can be easily applied to daily life to improve our posture and of course spine health.
